Hi ajay. My apologies for not responding sooner. To be frank, I had actually forgotten that I've enrolled in yet another forum. But, someone on TBHP reminded me that and I'm back here again.
Your detailing guide is now a bible to me, especially the CLAYING part. . I got my own kit from MOTHER'S and try to clay the body at least once in 3 months.
I stay in Koramangala and in case you are somewhere near around, we should meet. Maybe a mini fabiosi meet?

welcome to the forum. Quite familiar with your forum handle from TBHP.com.
Close to 200 is good and can indicate what the 1.6 engine is capable of. Take care when doing speeds. See you around.

Hi Memphes,
No apologies required by anyone for anyone, here [unless there is a reason you should].. But hey, don't forget this forum. Bookmark it as a favourite if required..
Geee.. Please don't embarrass me. Not trying to be modest but I've just written basic articles about detailing. Calling it a bible is just not right [It surely doesn't deserve to be called that, I'm positive]. I'm however glad that you like the articles and it's worth your time.
I think for our city conditions, claying once in 3 months is insufficient. But if your car's paint is treated to sealant and wax, claying once in 3 months is fine..
I stay exactly behind the HAL old airport. We can surely meet when both of us can get some time out.. And yes, you missed the most recent Fabiosi meet. You should definitely make time for it and join us for the next meet It would be a nice experience meeting our other wonderful members, I'm sure.

Hey all,
I own the New Skoda Fabia 1.2 Tdi (Ambiente) and on my way to Kerela from Mumbai on one of my excursions; on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway i went upto 175 Km/hr with the tach hovering around 4200-4300 rpm if I can recollect the tach figure correctly.
I had to slow down for a curve on the road, and also asa my mom grew aware of what speed i was at.
The experience however was brilliant, it didnt feel like a 175 at all, and it was begging for more.
I've never gone upto those kind of speeds again after that though, the car touches 160 effortlessly - the trade off is the efficiency as you all are already aware.
Cheers,

What's the spped rating for the new tyres on the Fabia? 175 is good but drive safe. _________________ Robin |

From what i remember off my mind it's "T" rated which is equivalent to 190Km/hr.
I'll check and confirm this ASAP.
There's no compromise on safety and thats true! Dont think i'll be trying to achieve any top speed records here, knowing what she's capable of is more than enough.
Thanks a lot though.
Cheers.

Hi Guys,
Being one of the oldest members of this Fabia club, I was previledged to be part of this small and elite group of Fabia owners out here but not anymore as I have sold my Fabia after 5 years of ownership.
It was a mixed bag experiance in these 5 years but on a rate to 10, it was 7+
Never faced any major issues in my car but yes few niggling small issues were always irritating me.
My car had only done 24k kms on the odo. Being a diesel with such less milaege and at a ridiculous low price... (2.95L to be precise) it was a great buy for the gentleman who bought it.
I wish him many more miles in my beloved Fabia which I will surelly miss.
Waiting for my Ecosport delivery now... _________________ Currently driving - XUV 5OO, Honda Civic, Skoda Fabia, New Swift, Hyundai Santro.

My I suggest that you still be a part of the forum, for the good old times sake. I am too at the moment without my beloved car. May be a separate thread for other cars of members. What do you say?
It was good to see you back on the forum, whatever be the reason _________________ Robin |

Hey Uneet,
Wow! That is one lucky customer for sure. Surprising you had only put down 24K kms on the TDI. Understood through our FB interaction your reason for selling it.
Hope the EcoSport turns out another great experience for you. But you might surely miss the Fabia's handling and overall experience..

I agree with that too and have no issues if an ex-fabia owner wants to stay over in the forum. Makes sense to have a separate thread then, no?
So, a new section created..

Thks Robin and Ajay for kindness.
I have always felt myself as a core member of this forum and I thank you to still making me feel to be an integeral part of this group.
I have already started missing my Fabia and Iam very sure I will miss the drivability especially the light cluthch, slick gear shift and the way car handles at high speeds.
Also I may suggest to take this forum to more broader dection of society. It would be nice if you guys can create a separate blogs for different cars. For ex. we can make a thread for Hyundai owners and than can subdivide it into Hyundai cars and so on...
The threads would be on the same platform as this one and would only include the owners of those car models...
Pls suggest your opinion.
Thks guys...
