Hi Guys,

Recently detected that while i go over a pot hole or a hump a miniature click click sound is coming in from the engine bay, this would come only when the car is in neutral or in a higher gear and lower speed and when i go over a hump or pot hole.

Got this checked and the service center person showed some bush which has got damaged and probably the sound is because of that.

Issue 2: From static position to movement while the vehicle moves some times the RPM would dip(Clutch and accelerator release sequence and based on the angle of start) at a particular RPM below 10< the engine vibration would becomes more and it gives out a weird sound for a fraction of second(1 -2 seconds), so got this also checked, the service center person states that the engine mounting is damaged and i need to get this replaced, though i am bearing with this from past 2 years+.

Has anyone come across this situation before or can suggest me. any idea on the price?

I did get the part number to check online but unable to find the part:

6/0199167AA - Rs7700 - Engine Mounting
Stabilizer bush - Rs300

Fabia 1.2 HTP

The black metal below the coolant tower needs to be replaced:

I have had something like issue 2 for a very long time. First I thought it would be the clutch but the clutch is still going on. It does sound like engine mount issue but why does the rpm go down. In my case it could be just my driving style, I give very little gas during take and that would make the hesitate a little. Whenever I gave more gas and released the clutch it was fine.

Same here, for the 2nd issue it's the same case, when I give less gas during start I get this noise, though I don't see this as an issue, the guys at vinayak say it's an issue and that there is some new version of engine mounting available, I think I can manage like that.

Thanks for the inputs.

Hi Guys,

Its been a long time in this forum. From the past 6 months while i go over an pot hole/Hump in neutral or low speed, a strange sound used to come from the engine bay, decided now to replace it, since it gets really irritating over all pot holes.

The part was not available so need to order it, it costs 7K for the part and as usual the high labour cost, i am planning to get this done in the Bosch service center located in Mysore road, the part costs the same where as the labour would be less, i see many skoda vehicles parked so i think he must have some experience, though i need to take my chance.

Finally got it done at Vinayak Skoda, the engine bedding and the gear hose bedding was replaced costing a total of 7K including labour, the issue is fixed now at my cost.
