The current 1.2 HTP is not BS 4 compatible. Octavia is going to be discontinued too.
After Maruti had announced that it will not upgrade its entry level 800 model to meet BS IV norms, Skoda too has decided against upgrading the Octavia saloon and Fabia (petrol) to meet the new emission norms. The Octavia’s 1.9 TDi Pumpe-Duse engine will be phased out completely and the 1.8-litre petrol motor – which found very few buyers – will also be discontinued. While the current version of the Fabia petrol will not be upgraded to meet BS IV norms, the diesel engine will get an upgrade to BS IV and will remain on sale across the country.
Skoda is upto something  .

I have been dreaming about it too . A wonderful car undone by the lazy engine.

Robin,
On the roads that i drive. With around 30 km/her being the average speeds. I cant even push the 'lazy engine'.

In todays Bangalore edition of Times of India there is a advt of Fabia BS4 compliant with discount , Any idea of this.

I want to look the ad up on the Internet. Can you let me know which page of the newspaper this particular Ad appeared in. Was it part of the main newspaper or the Bangalore Times.
