guys, for the last few days, I've noticed a slight left side drift for my car if i take off my hands from the steering in a straight road. Has this got anything to do with the alignment? Please enlighten me.. |

That's right it is due to the wheel alignment. Get it checked or get it redone. How many kms on the odo? And ya no need to get the balancing for this. Get it done from outside with any reputed place. |

There are no connection with your rear left tyre. Alignment problems at times comes up early due to the road condition we drive on. Rough patch roads does at times make the alignment slightly off littler before the time it requires for us to get alignment done in normal duration. So try and get the alignment again and let us know if there is any difference. |

My car also drifted leftward. All the rattles were also on the left side. There is something fishy in Fabia's left . |

Well you can say that it's that ghost noise from the Dashboard that rattles thx to the blower. And the other could be the suspension. I have noticed onething so far the shockups do become dry from out. It needs certain amount of lubricating during every service interval after which it works much better just like it did on day 1 of the delivery. IT soaks the bumps much better. Now that's something weird. |

I got the blower noise fixed last month. That noise is dead for now but there is another noise from near the same place. It resembles of an empty bottle shaking. I hear it only when the car comes down from a steep bump or something similar.
@Invinsible: What is the centre console rattle that you mention? I sometimes (on sharp edges) hear squeaky noise noise from the plastics in the conole.
I aslo hear very light noise from somewhere near the door pads (can't locate it exactly but is from near my right ear). This also happens when the car is shaken badly. |

I also used to get the "empty bottle shaking" noise once a while while going through bad roads, but not always. But that seems to be fixed now as I gave my car for the blower tightening last month. Hope it remains that way. But now, the roads have started becoming a mess with the rain lashing it. Welcome back potholes
centre console rattle is from the instrument cluster and yes, its the squeaky moise. it can be fixed either by applying a slight force with the thumb or the service guys can settle it with a bit of tape-work |

So only half the work for me. They did manage to fix the regular "flapping" noise. But retained the "bottle shaking noise", which is rare.
How is the tape-work done? It is on the inside or outside? I had got the speedo meter transparent plastic glued up in Jan. It was making hell of squeaking noise. It has started coming up again accompanied by other plastics parts. |
