Also to add on sales figures --- to be on the exact nos... Skoda managed to sell 232 cars in May'09 and therefore produced only 50 cars during that month.

For April'09 --- They managed to sell 363 cars and therefore produced only 90 cars in the whole month.

The main issue for skoda not able to sell in good nos is the pathetic A.S.S of Skoda and so many horror stories on the net regarding the same.

Seconed reason why Skoda is not able to make its mark is because of its 3 cylinder engine which is very noisy and is having stalling problems in the petrol versions.

Thirdly is ofcourse the price. The Indian market is still not much mature to buy a hatch worth 7 - 8L.

Guys -- Our beloved Fabia sold a miserable 196 units in June'09.
High time Skoda should start to take some actions.
Already i have noticed sharp fall in the resale price of fabia.
I was getting a company maintained 1.2 Ambiente - 15000 kms 10 months old for 4.5L Rolling Eyes

Skoda managed to sell 369 units of Fabia in July'09

Jazz sold 1032 units.

Punto 1600+ units.

Skoda managed about 560 Fabias in August, about the same as last year (down by 0.7%), yet an improvement over recent months where it was only doing 200 - 350 cars. Petrol Fabia @ 4.4 lakhs working?

Rest Fabia should be around 900 plus.

Hi Guys,

Sales figures for October.

Skoda sold 779 units of Fabia, i20 at astonishing 4600+ units, Fiat Punto at 1200 units, Jazz at 830 units.

Clearly the package from Hyundai is working well for them.

Fiat sold 532 punto in December'09 while they sold 1256 Punto's in January 2010

Honda sold 490 Jazz in January 2010

It seems they are sustaining these figures due to higher discount being offered. Now that the petrol version has been put off the showroom in 13 cities, the sales figure will come down.
Punto sold 956 units.
Jazz sold 571 units.

It seems the effect of BS-4 is already showing as the petrol model is off the shelves in few major cities and no replacement has been worked out as yet.

Thanks for consistently sharing this information with us.. Understandably, not everyone is able to visit various sources on the web to gather this.

Another point which is kind of a request: If the sales information you're sharing is taken from another source apart from the manufacturer directly, I'd say it would be fair to put a line of credit of the source from where you'd gathered the information.

Shocking to see Jazz doing numbers very close to Fabia.. This car can do much better; if not for ill reviews everywhere by owners and non-owners alike.

It should get a new lease of life after the facelifted Fabia comes in Sept/October per the TAFE showroom sales rep in Bangalore.
