Hello Guys,Iam starting this new thread with a view to list the cost of spares at one place.You all are requested to list all those items alongwith its price of which you are aware of the price.I feel this will help all the members in total especially when the warranties are gonna get over very soon for the old timers. Sad

My one of the rear mud flaps needed the replacement and it was available in the set of two each, for front and the rear. Cost of rear mudflaps -- Rs. 800/-Keep posting the prices..Thks

Rear shock ~ Rs 3500
Set of brake pads ~ Rs 4000

And time for some real shock treatment.

Clutch plates ~ Rs 16,000
Flywheel ~ Rs 21,000

Together it is aprrox 5% of the total vehical cost.

Now you know another way of going bankrupt Smile

I strongly feel that nobody is happy with these outrageous prices of spares by Skoda, I wonder why don't they come up with the extended policy scheme. Iam sure there would be many takers to it.

Folks,

Pardon me for posting this here but i had to coz this was a real shocker for me. One of my friends has a 3 year old Laura and his AC stopped working in this absolutely sizzling Hyd heat.
Like most of us here he headed over to our 'unfriendly' neighborhood dealer and got the shock of his life. They said the compressor had conked off and that its gonna cost him 75k for the replacement and workmanship. To top that he found out there are a number of Laura's suffering from the same problem around.. all roughly the same age.
75k for a compressor and its attached paraphernalia is highway robbery. I am worried that if this happens to me after the 2 yr mark, i might just have to sell her off.
Any ideas of Fabia's suffering from Air Con problems of this nature. Blower problems yes i have heard off but Compressors conking off. And any idea of the price of the same.

I am hearing about the laura AC problems from last two years. The newer ones have got better AC, but only time will tell.

In Fabia, two common complaints that I heard are, low FE in petrol model and dashboard/ac blower rattle. Anyway most of the Fabia on the road are still under warranty, so it is hard to say.

It is high time for skoda to offer extended warranty.
