I got this little piece of info on Fabia Combi. It is expected near the year end. I was told that it will have diesel engine similar to octavia's. I guess it will be 1.6 CR TDI 90bhp@4200 230NM@1500-2500. It can power the Combi from 0-100 in 12.7 secs. If this the case then expect the this engine in the Polo saloon too. Not bad on paper. Expect this to be fuel efficient too. This engine comes in too more configurations, 75 and 105 bhp. There is no info on the petrol model. They have five engines to choose from 1.2 htp 60 bhp (no), 1.2 htp 70 bhp (no, same as Fabia), 1.4 84 bhp Mpi (no, the engine was a disaster in Fabia), 1.2 tsi 84 bhp and 1.2 tsi 104 bhp (I expect one of these). I guess it will be the last one as they are planning for 1.2 Yeti as well.

Price: No info. But the Fabia elegance sells at 9.2 lacs in Bangalore. Considering this it will surely be over 10 lacs. The interior space is same as Fabia, but gets extended boot. I wonder how many buyers it will find?

It will be good if they launch the car with more features (climate control etc) and Swing music player system instead of our Dance. The maxi dot display looks neat and rich (as in laura).

Interesting news, Robin.. But wonder how many takers will be there for the Combi, given it's a Skoda [lol, already Fabia sales aren't high] and also India has hardly taken well to station wagons, barring the sparsely selling Indigo Marina..

Surely knowing Skoda, as always, will price it at a premium.
