The Skoda accessories are pretty expensive.

BTW, I have a red fabia.

I wish to get its top blackened.

What should I do?

Also, are there any shiny BLACK alloys available in the market for fabia?

Find a high quality paint booth/shop in your city and your roof can be taken care of.

Ajay,

I do not want the roof painted.

Some vinyl kind of stuff is what I am looking for.

Well, deepfusion. I don't know if stickering for the entire roof is practical, whether the stickering will hold good in Indian summer, etc [since the roof will be subject to harsh weather conditions all the time and more often than the b-pillars, which most car owners apply vinyl stickers on, to make them look black]. Of course, nothing can stop someone from trying [from a cost perspective too, stickering the roof will be far, far cheaper, I agree]..

If you do decide to try, let us know how it went and also share pictures if you could.

Cheers,
aK

Hi,

I was going through this part in skoda website and i am planning to go for this i need inputs from you guys, please do help me out:

I am looking for the bumper kit- The black part at the bottom part of the bumper, i do not know the exact name but i think its called if this is called the 'Diffuser' by any chance the part no is as below :

Part No: FAA 710 001 and the price is £144.00

Now the muffler(Exhaust pipe) is :

Part No: FDC 710 001 for 1.2 HTP : £52.0

I got it from this site:
http://www.accessories.skoda.co.uk/brochures/FabiaAccessories_Feb_09.pdf - page 5

http://www.skoda.dk/Global/Modeller/Fabia/PDF/02_311584_fabia_5j_FL.pdf

http://www.skoda-auto.ps/SiteCollectionDocuments/Catalogue/NewFabia/FabiaSportline_Catalogue_ENG.pdf

Does any one know the price in India?, as per the above price it will cost 18K for the parts and another 5K for fitting i assume , please provide me your inputs on the same/alternatives.

I checked about the diffuser when I went for the summer camp today at vinayak skoda bangalore. What I understand form them is that the rear bumper of the car also need to be replaced to fit this diffuser and they will charge you for the new bumper too.

I did check @ Vinayaak Skoda it self, but at the Okalipuram service station, i saw the price of the diffuser and the steel end pipe(Muffler) prices are 14.5K for diffuser and 5K fir muffler and another 2K for fitting: I checked with the store manager and the service engineer there is no need to change the bumper, i have read through briskoda and in fact i have pdf document from a similar manufacture known as MILOTEC which shows that we will have to cut the diffuser near the exhaust and fit the muffler and the diffuser is just a fiber part which we need to stick it on to the bumper with small screws at the bottom to support it.

I do not know why do these dealers mislead
But as per my knowledge we do not need to change the bumper Confused

15 days preorder to get the diffuser from chez republic, muffler is readily available- did see the muffler

I have checked the price through skoda portal so there is no misleading part there.. If you are planning to buy then go in person and meet Ashok @vinayak skoda service center at Okalipuram(Near Majestic).
I am planning to get one but everything depends on my boss who is going to decide on my appraisals for this year Razz

Ah okay! thanks for that information. It was told by the store manager at k r puram service center. When I saw it displayed there I remembered your posts and was just checking about it. I asked him the price but he replied about the need of bumper replacement and I didn't bother to ask him for the price again. I knew from your posts that it's costly and didn't have any plan to fit it for that cost anyway.

I bought sports pedal (FCA 000 001) for Rs. 2075

Ah ! If you were there between 11.30-1.30 PM then I am sure I saw you guys! You just left the place when I was going for billing. And you know what, I had a feeling that its you (had seen your photo in one of the travel pictures you uploaded) and I immediately checked the names listed on the service booking board and saw your names displayed there! but by that time you had already left the place...Hoping to meet you guys in the next bangalore meet Smile

We should start a thread where we can post when we plan to go to the service center!

Yes we left just before 1 pm. I saw someone drive in a silver Fabia, thought of sharing the forum link. But dropped the idea to avoid stupidity. I should have gone ahead Smile

It will be a good idea to start a new thread for it.

Its mainly for the aesthetics, i had planned this a long time back so just got it on Smile , after getting this done i felt it was on the higher side. It costed me 19.5K for the parts then painting and fitting 1K.

Looks cool. Can you post pics now without those making tapes holding it?

One of the mods I've planned too..

Sure will do that give me a week, the vehicle is due for service next week and now the car is totally soiled, so will get it crystal clean and then share few snaps.

Hi Santosh,

Hoping the service was done. How was the experience and where did you get the Fab serviced from (guessing Vinayak).

Any pics now of the diffuser + muffler? 19.5K does sound steep but no doubt adds aesthetic character.
