a - is it more from the doors. If yes then it is the rubber lining rubbing against itself. It is V shaped, both the sides of the grove rub against each other. I have it too, since long. Changes with climate Smile

b - what type of sound?

c - It is painful. I open my door to unlock the boot. But it may be different in the new car. Skoda's locking system still leaves me confused Smile

Hi,

The unlock all doors button inside the car in the centre console, unlocks the boot for me.
Mine too is the new Fabia, so it shouldnt be different from yours.

Also the cabin noise, can be reduced by a very thin layer of Silica grease or vaseline on the door weather seals (rubber lining). Dont use too much of any of the above. Clean the lining first and then just apply using your fingers.
Also if you choose to apply silicone grease remember to wear gloves, that stuff is very difficult to get off from hands and clothes.

Cheers.

dont want to sound anal ... but this has been very confusing ...
i have been fueling my car full tank ... 41 or 40 ltr ... and reset the trip reading every time .. and it runs for around 390 odd kms ... so what would be the average kms that the car runs how does one calculate ... not that i am interested ...but cause my car is new and every one in my office wants to know ... cause all of them either have a maruti or a hyundai ... i am the odd man out with a 1.6 petrol FABIAAAAA ... i can understand the jealousy ...

What does the MID show? 10 ish is not bad for a new 1.6. It does get better with more running.
