Which one is the best buy here? I would prefer the one which resists carbon deposits on the electrode. It used to be real pain in my mother's car.

I like the current battery. Maintenance free 4 years of good service.

Both Amaron and Exide Matrix are maintainance free,
Some say Amaron is better than Exide Matrix. Going by Service Network these two are better.
Prefer Amaron in Petrol as they have high mAH which is better.
Prices here at batterybhai.com are cheaper , Vinayaka charges 9400 for (Amaron Diesel Car) , here its sold for 8500.

All,
I had a recent experience with the battery.
I was taking rest in the car one night while travelling to a far away area.
I put the AC and fan on, on cooling switched off the AC and engine, maintain the FAN to go on speed 2.
After around 1 hr, the car gave me a beep, like mobile.
Found that the handbrake signal is blinking in a break.

As I use NOKIA mobile, so in sync with that, just switched off the ignition completely.
Came out of the car.
Lost my rest and sleep, as the car was not responding to central computing system.

After a hr tried to ignite, crancked, but failed.
Its a petrol machine, so thought it might work in a single cranck, but not so power in battery to work.
Waited till more 2.5 Hrs exactlly, and tried to crank, it worked.

Maintain the start for 5 mins.

After what I found, the radio not working, Door lock/Unlock not working with remote. No slide down of glass. waited for 10 mins and againg cranked, now every thing started working one by one, not in a single try.

My total trip mile went to zero, all variables are auto reset to ZERO, remeberd the instruction from manual, that these happens on battery change.

So what I found in 1 hr of fan run, the battery went to dead, why ??
To get the answer, cheked with some electical experts, said its a DRY/maintanace free Battery.
Means will cost more and last less, has a bad life of battery.

Why I am writing, is to ask the experts here, that can I go for wet battery if stock battery goes damage completely.

SKODA will say no, but who cares as they are targeted to sell battery at high cost. Also I want ot go for 85 AMP battery which will last for 4 yrs on a average.

Anyone has good suggestion/ issues like this plz post.

I don't think Skoda will have problem with the type of battery used as long as it meets the specs.

Most of the electrical equipment have timer- like the radio, most cabin lights etc.

I always try not to exhaust the battery for the fear of getting stranded. Just playing safe.
