Dear Friends,

Iam starting this new topic of maintenence cost of this car as i feel that all the users and non users are quite sceptical of Skoda company being assosiated with high maintenence cars. So i though lets do this reality check here. Rolling Eyes

So i would request all the members of this forum to contribute with their experiances and instances wherein they had to spend money on its A.S.S, cost of spares etc.

To start of, I have just got the first service done for my diesel classic which costed me Rs. 3667/-
Besides this i have also spent Rs. 80/- on the nuts and bolts for the change of assemblly of Left rear view mirror.

So Total cost in nearly 15 months usage ----- Rs. 3747/-
Total milaege of the car as on today ---- 7300 kms
Average milaege in city conditions ---- 14 - 15 km/l

Pls guys follow up with your total spending....

@uneet: It is a good idea but we already have a thread on Service reports with service costs entered by many users. May be we can think of a better way of putting the costs here so that it can be a useful reference as well as reduces redundant data. One way that I think is to just mention the part and its cost (other than that of regular service).

For example Mahesh had an accident repair last year. He can post as:-
Front Bumper : Rs XXXX
Headlight Unit: Rs XXXX
and so on. He had put the price on our team-bhp thread. We can get those to start with. ACI had cost of spares in one of its issue this year. We can compile those too.

Just a suggestion.

@invinsible: How do you want to manage this?

Hi Robin,

The reason for me to start this thread was to evaluate the actual A.S.S cost involved for Fabia including service and other costs involved.
As there is a strong notion for Skoda brand is expensive to maintain, so this thread can be of great help for everyone to know the actual costs involved. Also I would like everyone to add their dealership experiances during the service and other instances.

Therefore in totality we should all know what Skoda is offering to its customers in terms of pricing and behaviour!

You may advise if you want to keep this thread seprate from the service cost thread.

Thks My Lord!

I would request you to change the topic name to "A.S.S and dealership experiances" which will broaden and segregate the thread from the already existing thread of "service cost"

My review of A.S.S of Blitz Automotive, Surat.

-Overall service experience - Average to good.
-Workmanship - Good.
-Timely Delivery - average.
-Attention to detail - Good.

All the service advisers are quite friendly and runs around the service center to make things done.

I am spoilt by superb A.S.S. of Honda and Toyota so I may be little harsh while writing this.

Now with the ownership experiance of 18 months and 8000 kms for my classic diesel I would like to sum it up for the dealership experiances.

The car has been to workshop atleast 5-6 times during this period for either the niggling issues which has been mentioned in this forum earlier under different threads and once for the first service.

I have always sent my car to Sai Automobiles. There showroom is in Patparganj while the service centre is in Noida.

The dealer does seems to have some snobbish attitude despite the stiff competition from other Auto giants, but still over all the experiances has been satisfactory except one or two times.
