Dear members,
This thread is available for you to share, discuss, exchange opinions, reviews or feedback on any and all photographic equipments you own or have experienced, or simply from the internet.
There is another thread dedicated to share your photos and pics, so kindly keep this thread free of them. Any and all photography related equipments can be discussed here, such as camera bodies, lenses, filters, accessories, tripods, camera bags, flash guns and other related equipments, etc.
You can also share equipment reviews from the WWW and also share your own experiences with your specific equipment. So go ahead, spread some digital camera gyaan.

Members,
Anyone in here who use or have used Canon EOS range of DSLRs? In particular, does anyone in here use or have tried the Canon EOS 500D? I'm considering a camera purchase next month and among the ones I've shortlisted are Canon EOS 500D and EOS 550D. 550D being the latest and just announced by Canon.
If any of you are aware about Canon EOS 500D or EOS 550D, please PM or reply here. Thanks.

UPDATE: I have purchased the Canon EOS 550D SLR so now I have a good equipment to continue my photography passion..
Will post photos taken using it, on the photos thread..

Congratulations on the latest acquisition. May she give you beautiful memories.
Will look forward to the pics. How much lighter did she leave your wallet by and what accessories did you pick up for her?

I've already posted few photos. Will post more as I snap them.
Left the bank a/c lighter by 45.5K and accessories, till now, just got an high speed 8GB SDHC card [1.95K] and a lens hood [130 bucks]. That's all.. More lenses planned, but for later in the year.

Thank you sir for the updates. You are a rich man no doubt and may you continue to be so. Its a great camera though no questions asked.
I noticed that you posted some pictures... for some reason they are not getting loaded. Will try to view them again.

 Even I didn't know that sir. What by buying a cam for 45.5K, one can become a rich man? This is news. Wow. I'm rich.

Rudy, thanks for confirming..
Yeah, the 550D is a very good cam. But you'll have to spend a lot more on quality lenses for the cam's potential to be witnessed..
Go for the 7D if you can. Almost double of 550D's cost
