I was gifted one of these by a friend of mine in the US.

The idea behind this is to have the black rectangular box that houses a small fan placed over the window pane on a parked car. It has a tiny solar panel that runs the small fan which pumps out the hot air and keeps the air inside a parked car recirculating and supposedly cooler.

Its actually supposed to bring the temperature down by a couple of degrees.

My Experience: The fan works but nothing much happens. I feel the car as hot as it was when left in the hot sun. Some folks i believed tested it and found that it made the innards actually hotter. Sad

Bottom line: Stay away from it. Thats my experience. The only thing that is good about it is the cubby holder that came along with it. Its the grey thing in the picture. That is what i use to store odds and ends.

I've seen this device being demonstrated on TV. On some channel similar to the 'As seen on TV' programmes.. Like the teleshopping network..

Pretty fakey, I thought. Your post only reaffirms my belief..
