By default when you get the car it should be enabled. But if it is not, you can get it done at the service centre. |

As per Manual once car reaches 15km/hr all doors and boot lid are locked automatically.
Either way Car can be converted to automatic locking mode by service center. _________________ Rgds

I think this feature is not provided in classic , think it can be activated for a charge for central locking. _________________ Rgds

I've a classic 1.4 and i just got this security feature enabled yesterday. The auto door locking happens once car crosses 20km/h speed.
Thanks, |

I took delivery of a 1.2 HTP Classic just 2 weeks back. The autolock feature is enabled on the car. It locks the doors as soon as one hits 20km/hr. Now whether this is a feature that has been added to the Classic variant down the line is something that i am not sure of. But it does work.

You can write a mail to Skoda to impart some "gyan" to fools servicing the Skoda vehicles in Bhopal. Their customer care system has improved a bit. If there is another dealer in Bhopal or near by you can try there. Keep pestering, something will come out.
One thing that you should do in life - never trust the sales person.
Typically there should be a person familiar with the all the gadgetry in the service centre. If you make enough hue and cry he will come to the rescue. _________________ Robin

When I took delivery of my 1.2HTP Ambiente, I asked the sales person how to activate the autolocking. The sales person told me that it is not possible. Thanks to the info I already got from this forum, I insisted to talk to the a service person in the Garage. He called up the service center and the sales person was informed that it is possible to enable autolocking. Took the car to service centre, 5 mins, job done. |

Folks need help, while entering my office, these guys mandatorily need you to open the boot, now when I unlock the car using the central unlock switch, the boot does not get unlocked and I need to open my door for the boot lock to be opened.
Is that a standard thing on all fabias or can this be configured, I find it an inconvenience to open the door every time.

Its one way a good security feature.
I have to open the door daily to get the boot checked @ Infosys.
Funny part is the security some times are not able to open the boot.
Probably they are used to opening with the key _________________ Rgds

i guess its the same story everywhere in the name of security checks..
i also was made to do the same at my workplace and i hated it when they shut the hatch door with a bang.
i've now moved away the parcel tray into its slot so that the security guy can just peep thru the glass and check whatever he wants to. the boot is empty most of the times.
works for me, no more banging. _________________ ~ Jig

How did that happen
I guess some features can be had by paying extra. I haven't explored but it is highly possible. It will require breaking your head with the service advisor . _________________ Robin |
