In todays newspaper price of petrol fabia has been mentioned to start from Rs 3.99 lakhs. Company is doing it to increase sales. Initially it was for over 6 laccs but now coming for under four lakhs is a blow to those purchased it earlier at higher price and are feeling cheated.
This is the only car in mkt which is degraded from 6 lakhs to four lakhs and has adversly effected its resale value. All other cars like swift. i20 are constantly increasing their prices to maintain resale value. I request skoda not to decrease the price further otherwise one day this super hatch will be debarred from the list of premium hatch.

It is hard to say if it's good or bad. Most of these ads are marketing gimmicks.
At the moment I am not worried to much. My Ambiente is richer than the new Elegance in features. The later costs more than what I had paid for my car.

Very true Robin, as these prices are just marketing tactics to influence the customer.
My classic diesel is rich in features compared to the current ambiente.
The only worrying part is the chage in diesel engine which now is much more refined than the old PD engine.
