Hi

just thought will share with you all the agony we are going through because of a problem which was induced in our Fabia 1.2 petrol during its second service. The car is still under warranty, we got it services three weeks back at Giriraj Motors, Gurgaon. The car was perfectly fine before the service, the moment car was out, its engine oil sensor started blinking though the engine oil level was fine. The car was called back by the dealer to set the problem right but that was the beginning of the end. Its been three weeks, they have not been able to diagnose the problem, they have done everything possible including the visits by Skoda engineers from Aurangabad and the problem still persists. They say they have never come across this kind of a problem ever. The worst is that we are clueless as to what is happening with the car and what would be the next course. We have written and spoken to all possible officials and sent mails to head office at Czech, very sweet replies have come but of little use to us. After much fighting they have allowed us capped usage of a cab as alternative. The customer care executives go the extent of saying that if you want to sue, please do!! We thought Skoda was reliable but the experience has been otherwise. Even if we get the car now, we dont know what it has gone though and what is the guarantee that it will not become a recurring problem, the original warranty expires next month!!

Can anyone give some inputs in this regard?

Punita

Did u checked the engine oil sensor??? if done, do a VAS software re-installed again, some issues relate to this s/w. if these r not working, I think a consumer case will be done against SKODA as in warranty this issue happened. Anyway u did the identification of the issue before warranty, so u will get the solution even if warranty expires. In fcebook there is a SKODA community, who calls them as SKODA INDIA. Write there some to get a help, may they help u or not, but try.

It is sad.

Facebook option is good. At least they respond. If the engine oil is fine then I guess it could be the sensors. I have heard a lot of cases where dirt on sensors create havoc, VAS often skips that. Or it could be something to do with the oil pressure or loose wires/plugs. My guess - since it happened just after the service, they might have loosened wires/plugs near the oil sump - while draining the oil during service.

you can try a different dealer. Keep all the bills/job card etc intact. You are def. going to need that later.

Any news?

I hope Skoda technicians are being able to help you and save you from any further senseless tragedies.

Have you tried an alternate service agent? My experience with Fahrenheit auto at Moti Nagar, N Delhi have been excellent. You could ask Giriraj to return the car and show it to Fahrenheit.
