For the past few weeks, the problem of random starting troubles began. Esp during early morning starts. There would be a clicking sound from the engine bay. The engine would not crank. After 2-3 attempts, it will start.Last week the engine simply refused to crank. I called the local mechanic. ( A.s.s @ Calicut 90 Km). He thought it was battery related and brought a stand by cell to jump start the engine, but realised it was something with the starting motor. Next day the car started on the first attempt. Took it to the local mec, who diagonised the problem as the solenoid switch gone faulty. Called for replacement, work is now in progress. Just thought I will share the experience with you. Will post the progress of the works in due course. _________________ jnpai

What happened next? Was it the switch or some loose wire around it (this could be a problem too). _________________ Robin |
