Hi
I recently got a call from fabia that those who dont have electricaly operated windows can install them . Cost of front was told to me as nearly 12000 and for front as well as for 24000/
Outside Skoda I have enquired they are available for 10/20 thousands. Pls guide about warranty etc and what should I go for?
Regards

Hi RKT,
Did you get the call from a Skoda authorized dealer in your city? It's better you write to Skoda India and check the authenticity of this call and info.
If you have more than 1 SA dealer in your city, call the other and compare prices. If your car is over two years old, you don't have to care about any warranty issues.
Let us know what happens.
Cheers,

Yes buddy. I got call from authoried Skoda dealer in Delhi. who convinced me that warranty will not void but refused to give anything in writing. Outside skoda in after market same is available for 25% less they also say that warranty will npt void.
Confused but I think 12K+ in skoda AD is better than 10K- in non skoda AD
Pls guide
Thanks

I don't know; something doesn't sound right about this. If it is indeed Skoda or a Skoda authorized dealer calling for and offering to do the power windows fitment, then why won't they give a note in writing that their action won't void warranty?
I assume they're not thinking we consumers are stupid that we'll go give them a sale for their request and also agree to their terms of not getting anything back in writing.
Do think twice as it's Skoda we're dealing with [this, in consideration with some Skoda non-cooperation issues I've read on TBHP (not the hyped ones though)]..
Best,
