I just got my Fabia & I had her fitted with Leather seats from the Accessories guy at the dealer.
The Leather seats do look good as I expected and also give the car an even more rich feel; but mind you when I drive from more than an hour I start to feel sweat building up near thighs and I always have the AC on though only on Power 1.
Now I am not sure & here maybe people who have driven cars more than me (Mileage on my Fabia is less than 500 Kms) can pitch in;but I feel Keeping Original seats and adding Turkish or Soft furry White seat covers could prove just as nice.
Also we can have two sets of same covers made / bought so that we can wash and dry one set while other is Used Very Happy

Hope this helps in the decision Smile

what are you looking for? leather, art-leather, fabric, ......
Stanley on lalbagh rd, G-sport near JP ngr...., depends on the budget...cost effective is a relative term, 50K can mean cost effective to someone!

I am using the fabric covers that came with the car, they still look fresh to me. Leather also goes ok with bangy weather.

there's a expert here in the forum k_ajay, wait for his comments to flow!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for art-leather. I already checked at Stanley, they have both leather as well as art-leather. But very expensive when compared to other vendors. . . i'm told that sweating is more when art-leather seat covers are used. Currently i'm still using company fitted fabric which is very good, but over a period of time it'll be soiled and has to be changed... so i'm on the lookout. . . Smile

Thanks,

Hi-Sundeep,

In my car, I currently have an art leather and genuine leather combo set-up. I can assure you that even without AC, I don't sweat where my body touches either the leather or art leather covered seat portions. But of course, I'm in Bangalore and the weather here doesn't make one overtly sweat [it may be different in Rajasthan or Chennai, where it does get hotter].

Art leather options - GSport, Ovion, etc. GSport is a well established brand in art leather market; it could be a safe bet.

Best,
aK

Importantly, to give valuable feedback, also share your budget. Else we're shooting in the dark.

For an indication, Ovion will be pricier than GSport.

Thanks for your valuable comments Ajay. My budget is around 10K, just wondering whether i can get the leather-Art Leather combination for this price. . . need to work it out Smile

The company fit fabric seat covers are good as they breathe and will be cool at all times, however, it gets soiled when one drives with the window glass rolled down. I'll check at G-Sport. Hoping to get a good deal. . . .

Given your budget Sundeep, GSport is your best bet. Proven art leather brand, go for it. I don't know if an art leather - pure leather combo is possible at this price point, but if you do manage a cracker deal, that would be brilliant and you could share details here for others benefit.

Let us know how it went.

Hi Ajay,

I spoke to g-sport today and checked with the seat cover pricing, they seem reasonable, but he said that they will not put any cover to the doors, I.E to the place where the power window switches are present, this is important as the fabric there is always being soiled, any suggestions/idea any other place you suggest? Idea my budget is around 6-12k

Hi Santosh,

I don't know why GSport said they cannot do/dress the door trim with art leather; it's very much possible. In TBHP.com, you can check my garage for my Fabia's interior pics. On the door, you can see the door pad [near the power window switch console] being dressed in beige white leather.

If it's important, impress the need to get it done or tell them you'll look elsewhere. You can take reference to the photos in my garage and get an idea, if you like.

The steering wheel, if covered in real leather, is a good option.

Once you complete the job, it would help other members if you can share details, costs and photos in the right thread. Thanks.

Cheers,
aK
