Hi Guys,
From the past few days, observing that after I switch off the engine of my 1.2 TDi, radiator fan continues to run for alteat 2-3 minutes at very high RPMs. Distance travelled is about 35 KM
At times people have come and asked me , if my engine was still on ?
Concerned if this is normal ? Pls advise !! |

It is not abnormal for the fan to be on after the engine is switched off. If you are worried then switch off the AC and let the engine idle for about a minute before cutting it out.
It may happen if the last few minutes of your drive is on incline or in stop and go traffic, engine has to work hard and heats up.
If you are still worried you can get your cooling system checked - radiator thermostat, coolant etc. |
