I could manage only 12.50 km/l on my diesel this time.
It managed to run 497 kms and was thirsty enough to take 39.7 lts. _________________ Currently driving - XUV 5OO, Honda Civic, Skoda Fabia, New Swift, Hyundai Santro.

Rain or shine, city or highway, my car's mileage doesn't not go my way.
consistent 11kmpl from the 1.4 litre petrol engine.
Quite sad it won't budge to let me see 12 kmpl _________________ Peace precedes Prosperity.. |

I have fabia(New engine) 1.2petrol:
Full tank-tank - 11.89-12.50Kmpl - bangalore city, Avg speed 10-15km/hr(Mysore road-basvangudi-mad traffic)
Outside city - 15-16.2Km/l
Petrol bunk - shell(Normal fuel, sometimes i mix 3liters of high octane fuel with 20liters of normal fuel),tyre pressure 32psi,
Now a days i fill half tank as full tank will increase the weight of the car and less FE, no hard breaking and i shift over to neutral where in there is gradual slopes.
clocked 3K kms. |

I have new fabia 1.2 petrol HTP, recently i go near aligarh through gaziabad route and i got the average of 12-12.25 approx, i think it is not sufficient may be because of UP highway condition in which it is impossible to hold the accelerator or maintain the speed for more than 5-10 minute somewhere or 2-5 minute somewhere. overall i love the drive. _________________ Vaibhav Jain |

All, I got a mileage of 20 KMPL on riding 80 to 100 KMPH.
I got this on a 1.2 Fab MPI Elegence. Now I think its incredible.
Never got this mileage. Anyway I always say, driving in a steady speed will give a great mileage. The mileage is on NH, in town its max 12-13 in petrol.
I don't have any IMG sharing site list, so attached my PICASA link to see.

Thanks. |

Clocked 710 kms for 43.3 liters of Diesel - a milage of 16.4 kms per liter..
Over the past 4 weeks was able to get above 16 km per liter for Diesel Fabia for each tankfull. _________________ Rgds

Have the new fabia 1.6
The mileage initially was 10 kmpl. Have crossed 5k km on the odo now. The FE varies from 11.01 on bad weeks to 11.3 on a good week. This is with AC on 50% of the times ( Mumbai has been blessed with some good weather the last few weeks), and in the City. FE calculations are TF to TF.
Have taken it on the Mumbai -Pune trips, and the max the average FE on the MID climbed to was 20kmpl. Of course this was with a steady driving speed of 90kmpl. On an average, the highway runs get me 15 - 16. Will complete a TF to TF run on this stretch once to get a definitive answer.
Cheers

Hi Saurabh,
After a long time I've seen anybody having 1.6 Mine is also new ...bought in Jan and crossed 1500KM. Best I've got on Delhi-Jaipur (Under construction highway) is 17KM/Ltr. Mumbai-Pune is certainly best highway I know. Please keep sharing experience... |

Please don't tell us that you're driving the 1.6 in a manner that a 1.2 might be driven.. Else, I'm really amazed to know that the 1.6 can return 17 kmpl.. I'm not even sure my 1.4 can deliver that kind of fuel efficiency [on the highways, I've never kept below 100 on an open road; maybe that's why?].
Maybe we also need to know the speeds in which you were able to achieve this mileage? That can lead us to understand how your Fab managed this fuel efficiency.

Hello Ajay,
On Delhi Jaipur Highway you can't drive more than 100KM/Hr at present because of the construction work in progress. So best at the moment you can drive is 80-90KM with some 30-45 min wait time (includes Red Lights, Tolls and diversions) out of 6Hrs route. In view of all this hurdles you rarely get a chance to drive 100KM/Hr and that to for a duration of max 10-15min only. |

This Sunday I completed a 4700 km trip to Kutch. Used 270 ltrs of petrol. Avg - 17.4.
It included crossing 100+ kms of Little Rann of Kutch and a small part of Greater Rann of Kutch where the car was in 2nd gear almost all along. On the highway we were mostly doing 80-110 kmph. My wife is less forgiving and was belting the Fabia over 120 on the Ahmedabad - Baroda expressway (I was sleeping then)
Before we had entered the Rann our FE was above 18. _________________ Robin |

Wooho! The mileage thread is definitely getting me envious.
I just did a trip to my hometown which is about 400kms from Bangalore. The highways showed 5.9l/100km at a consistent 90-100kmph. However, on bad roads the FE dropped to 7.2l/100km. NOW, that was just during the trip.
Now, I'm back in the city and anything fuel consumption figure below 9l/100km gives me goosebumps. _________________ The speedway ends at the cemetery. |

Hey all,
I've just joined this group, i've been looking up team-bhp for a lot of fabia ownership reviews but its a pain registering there.
Anyway - i own Fabia 1.2 tdi ambiente (2011) and on my trip to Kerela from Mumbai the max mileage i got was 26.2 Km/l and the lowest was 19.5 km/l; with some sedate and real fast driving.
I covered around 4000 odd Kms on my trip over a period of 15 days and spent about Rs. 8000 on diesel over the entire trip (Rs. 47.30 on average p/l) gave me a stunning fuel efficiency of 23 Km/L!!
Currently in the city of Mumbai, i get between 14-16 km/l, i havent done too many highway runs since, but on the WEH it goes upto 18-19 km/L.
Cheers,
Aayush. _________________ When Cars are in your DNA you get This!! |

First off - i did not buy a 1.6 because i wanted good mileage
I am relatively satisfied with it , i get between 11-12.5 in city with or without AC - this is driving at peak office hour for all of 7 Kms.
Have not managed to really take her out for highway drive yet but trips to gurgaon etc have yielded about 17.5-18 KMPL
Mine has done about 2200 kms in total so far. _________________ Cheers! |

Yeah!! The 1.6 is for a true enthusiast!! But with a country obsessed with "kitna deti hai" (including me ) your figures are great!!
PS - i dont check the mileage at every refill either, only on highway runs sometimes!!

I have always felt the FE difference between 1.2 and 1.6 is insignificant. I wish 1.6 was available when I was buying _________________ Robin |

Totally second that feeling Robin!!
I wish the 1.6 Diesel were here on the Fabia!! Hell that would've been a scorcher and I wouldnt mind waiting for it too, even if it was a tad more expensive.
